Softball Recap: West Oso Comes Up Short

West Oso was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost 20-10 to the George West Longhorns. That's two games in a row now that the Bears have lost by exactly ten runs.

Serenity Lopez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Giovanni De Los Santos, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

West Oso's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for George West, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-16-1.

Coming up, West Oso will venture away from home to take on Aransas Pass at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.1 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for George West, they will be playing at home against Odem at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Owls have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
