Softball Recap: Hancock Gets the Win

Hancock hadn't done well against Southern Fulton recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Panthers walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Indians. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Brooklyn McCusker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kaydence Gaither, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more doubles the last three times she's played. Makensie Boyer was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.
