Academy of the Holy Names falls despite strong effort from Morgan Hunt

Recap: Academy of the Holy Names Jaguars vs. Karns Beavers
On Wednesday, Academy of the Holy Names came up short against Karns and fell 57-45.
When it comes to explaining why Academy of the Holy Names lost, one person who can't be blamed is Morgan Hunt. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for her. Lucy Morey was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Academy of the Holy Names' loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Karns, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-5.
Academy of the Holy Names' road trip will continue as they head out to face Cocoa at 5:00 p.m. on December 29th. Cocoa will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 230th, while Academy of the Holy Names is ranked 47th). Karns and Sports Leadership & Management will round out the year against one another at 7:50 p.m. on Friday at. Sports Leadership & Management will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
