Basketball Recap: Agua Dulce Drops Season-High Score on Kenedy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Agua Dulce). They claimed a resounding 88-43 victory over the Kenedy Lions. The Longhorns have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 21 points or more this season.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was William Campbell, who posted ten points. The dominant performance also gave Campbell a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Tristan Mireles, who scored seven points and three steals.

The win (which was Agua Dulce's fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.5 points. As for Kenedy, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Agua Dulce will face off against La Villa at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Agua Dulce has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Kenedy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Port Aransas at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kenedy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.5 points per game this season.
