Football Game Preview: Maclay Marauders vs. Chambers Academy Rebels

The Maclay Marauders will take on the Chambers Academy Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 41-14, which was the final score in Maclay's tilt against Taylor County on Friday. The matchup marked the Marauders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Although Maclay took the loss, they still got scores from Henry Richardson and Beau Beshears.

Meanwhile, Chambers Academy had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 36.4 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Eagles 47-0. Give the Rebels' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Having lost for the first time this season, Maclay fell to 5-1. As for Chambers Academy, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.
