J.H. Rose dropped down to 8-2 on Thursday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Ayden - Grifton Chargers by a score of 3-2. The Rampants were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Chargers earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Clara Evans paced J.H. Rose's offense, picking up 20 kills. Evans got some help from Breanna Joyner and her 23 assists. Kate Wallen controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

As for Ayden - Grifton, they now have a winning record of 6-5. The victory was some much needed relief for they as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Ayden - Grifton was led to victory by Kp Olejar and Olivia Baker. Olejar had 12 digs and two assists, while Baker had 25 assists and 12 digs. That's the most digs Baker has posted since back in September of 2024.

J.H. Rose has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against South Central on the 9th. As for Ayden - Grifton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Kinston on the 9th.
