Lake-Lehman entered their tilt with Honesdale on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They blew past the Hornets 9-1. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six  runs or more this season.
 Sam Finarelli made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits over four innings pitched. What's more,  he posted four  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles.
 In other batting news,  Will Jenkins was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high.  Chris Sholtis was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with one  run and one  RBI.
 Lake-Lehman was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Honesdale only posted a  batting average of  .130.
Lake-Lehman pushed their record up to 8-4 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  at home. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Honesdale, they now  have a losing record of 5-6.
 Coming up, Lake-Lehman will be playing in front of their home fans against Holy Redeemer  at 4:15  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Honesdale, they will take on Mid Valley at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Hornets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 9.3  runs per game this season.
