Basketball Recap: Live Oak Lions vs. Corning Cardinals

Live Oak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were beaten by the Corning Cardinals 68-31. Another player making a difference was Brody Martinovich, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 13 points and three steals.

Live Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Corning, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-12.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Live Oak will venture away from home to challenge West Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Valley will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Live Oak surely won't give up without a fight. As for Corning, they will face off against Red Bluff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
