Game recap: Kaplan High School Football Team takes down St. Martinville

ST. MARTINVILLE, La. - A big 35-point second quarter helped carry the Pirates to a 43-13 victory over St. Martinville (La.) on Saturday.

Kaplan scored on a rushing touchdown, a touchdown run, a touchdown run by Taylor Simoneaux, a touchdown catch by Jude Hebert and a kick return in the quarter.

After taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the second quarter, KHS led 42-14 at the half.

The victory was a step in the right direction for the Pirates, who were coming off a 33-14 defeat at the hands of Iowa in its previous game. The loss was the third in a row for the Tigers.
