Football Recap: Vandegrift Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Vandegrift blew McNeil out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday McNeil got their revenge. The Vipers fell just short of the Mavericks by a score of 17-14. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Vipers came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Mavericks are ranked 97th).

Despite the loss, Vandegrift still got an impressive performance from Justin Moore, who rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns.

Vandegrift moved to 3-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for McNeil, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.
