Baseball Recap: La Marque Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when La Marque took on Sealy on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against the Tigers, falling 11-5. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 15-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

La Marque saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Debrennon Erskine, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

La Marque's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-1. As for Sealy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-12-1.

While La Marque had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
