Basketball Game Preview: Jones Trojans vs. Port Aransas Marlins

The Jones Trojans will venture away from home to take on the Port Aransas Marlins at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jones is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since January 24th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Calallen by a score of 51-48.

Port Aransas not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 22nd (when they won 53-28). They blew past Rockport-Fulton 69-45. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Marlins as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Port Aransas now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Jones, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Jones beat Port Aransas 51-41 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Marlins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
