Basketball Recap: Escambia County Gets the Win

Escambia County won the last time they faced Flomaton, and Cleo Bolar did his part to make sure it happened again. The Escambia County Blue Devils simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Flomaton Hurricanes 81-53 thanks in part to Bolar, who went 9 of 16 on his way to 23 points along with six steals and five assists. The matchup was his seventh in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Caliente McCants, who posted eight points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave him a new career-high.

Escambia County's record is now 6-2. As for Flomaton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Escambia County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 86-67 defeat against Tate on the 16th. As for Flomaton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-26 loss against T.R. Miller on the 16th.
