Hanover-Horton is 6-1 against East Jackson since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Comets will look to defend their home field against the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. Neither Hanover-Horton nor East Jackson posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Friday, Hanover-Horton came up short against Northwest and fell 6-2.

Jack Wooster put in work no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Wooster was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Wooster wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Brady Pond, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Braylon Sayles was another, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, East Jackson came up short against Springport on Friday, falling 11-1. The Trojans have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Hanover-Horton's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for East Jackson, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Hanover-Horton couldn't quite finish off East Jackson in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 and fell 8-6. Can the Comets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
