Baseball Recap: James Madison Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

James Madison had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hayfield Hawks a 7-0 shutout on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Warhawks sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

James Madison pushed their record up to 24-3 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Hayfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-7.

Coming up, James Madison will square off against Battlefield at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Warhawks 2.3, the Bobcats 2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Hayfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
