Softball Recap: Chico Takes a Loss

The Chico Dragons came up short against the Nocona Indians on Friday, falling 14-4. That's two games in a row now that the Dragons have lost by exactly ten runs.

Camdyn Marcus and Lexi Davis did some serious damage despite the final result: Marcus went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one double, while Davis went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Chico has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Nocona and bumps their season record up to 12-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chico is set to face off against their familiar foe Alvord at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Nocona will square off against rival Lindsay at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
