Football Recap: Waynoka Comes Up Short

Waynoka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 46-0 to the Timberlake Tigers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, the Railroaders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma football rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Tigers are ranked 12th).

Waynoka's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Timberlake, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Waynoka is set to face off against their familiar foe Balko/Forgan at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. Meanwhile, Timberlake will take on rival Kremlin-Hillsdale at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
