Basketball Recap: Atkinson County Comes Up Short

Atkinson County was the 52-33 winner over Lanier County when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Atkinson County Rebels fell 39-31 to the Lanier County Bulldogs on Monday. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Atkinson County's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Lanier County, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atkinson County and Brooks County will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Lanier County, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Clinch County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinch County has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 185 points over their last three contests.
