Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Dade County's Winning Streak + How To Watch

Dade County was the 2-0 winner over Coosa when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolverines took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles on Tuesday. The Wolverines' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Dade County was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-22.

Caroline Bell paced Dade County's offense, picking up ten kills. Bell really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with nine. Chloe Ballard controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Coosa was led to victory by Whitley Sharpe and Taegan Cline. Sharpe had seven kills, three digs, and three aces, while Cline had six assists and four aces. That's the most kills Sharpe has posted over her last seven contests.

Dade County's loss dropped their record down to 22-12. As for Coosa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-17.

Coincidentally, Dade County and Coosa will both be playing Cedar Bluff the next time they take the court. The Wolverines will head out to face the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
