Baseball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson lost against Gaither last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Jefferson took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gaither.

Jefferson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaiden Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Gaither, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.

Jefferson will take on Steinbrenner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Jefferson's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Steinbrenner has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for Gaither, they will challenge Riverview at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
