Basketball Recap: Matthew Harville Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Clinch

Washburn won the last time they faced Clinch and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Washburn Pirates walked away with an 86-76 win over the Clinch Wildcats.

Washburn's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Matthew Harville, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 16 boards. Those 16 rebounds gave Harville a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dillon Mullins, who posted 23 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Washburn was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

Washburn's victory bumped their record up to 7-18. As for Clinch, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Washburn has already played their next contest, a 59-49 loss against Hancock County on the 21st. Clinch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
