Volleyball Recap: Jordan Falcons vs. Durham Academy Cavaliers
Jordan lost against Durham Academy back in August of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Falcons fell 3-1 to the Cavaliers. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cavaliers 25-16 in the first set.
Jordan started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-21.

Despite the defeat, Jordan saw an underclassman step up: freshman Evelyn Greene had 26 digs and one assist. Greene is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last five games she's played.
Durham Academy was led to victory by Alice Chen and Savanna Levinson. Chen had 15 digs and two aces, while Levinson had 13 digs. That's the most digs Levinson has posted since September 6th. Hayley Skye also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
Jordan's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Durham Academy, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.
Coming up, Jordan will welcome Panther Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Durham Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against New Life Camp on the 30th.
