 After two games on the road, McLean County is heading back home. They will take on the Trigg County Wildcats at 5:45  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
 McLean County put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season  on Thursday. They never let Webster County onto the board and left with  an   8-0  victory.
  Jaelin Groves and  Jax Lee were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing,  Groves   pitched  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). Meanwhile,  Lee   didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. At the plate,  Groves  went 2-for-3 with two  doubles, a  stolen base,  and two  RBI, while  Lee  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  Layden Bozarth was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Hayden Hudson, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Meanwhile,  everything went Trigg County's way against Fort Campbell on Thursday as Trigg County made off with  a  15-0 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Trigg County.
 Trigg County got a  massive  performance out of  Chase Hampton, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of  Aidon Butts, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-2.
 McLean County now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for Trigg County, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record  this season.
 McLean County was able to grind out a solid  victory over Trigg County in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023, winning  7-4. Does  McLean County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Trigg County turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
