Recap: Liberty Tree Academy War Eagles vs. Colorado Springs Christian Lions

The Liberty Tree Academy War Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their ninth straight loss. They were outmatched by Colorado Springs Christian on the road and fell 63-16. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Liberty Tree Academy has scored all season.

Colorado Springs Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Levi Williams led the charge by scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Velasquez, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Liberty Tree Academy's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.3 points per game. As for Colorado Springs Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-13.

Liberty Tree Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Colorado Springs Christian, they will be playing at home against The Vanguard School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
