Baseball Recap: Parker Takes a Loss

Parker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 11-5 to the Minor Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thundering Herd of the 19-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Jordan Willis was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Parker: the team is 7-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Nicolas Page, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Parker's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Minor, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-17 record this season.

While Parker had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
