Baseball Recap: San Marcos Academy Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Valor South Austin, San Marcos Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the New Braunfels Christian Academy Wildcats, sneaking past 6-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

San Marcos Academy got a big performance out of Daniel Yates, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Rye Roberts, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

The victory got San Marcos Academy back to even at 1-1. As for New Braunfels Christian Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

San Marcos Academy has already played their next match, a 7-6 loss against Valor South Austin on the 28th. As for New Braunfels Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Faith Academy on the 28th.
