Soccer Recap: Independence Picks Up Third Consecutive Win + How To Watch

Independence's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against the Butler Bulldogs by a score of 3-1. Even though Independence got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Alexander Lampi was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Dennis Sanchez and Mark Verret scored all three of Independence's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 25 goals.

The victory (which was Independence's third in a row) raised their record to 14-4. As for Butler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-14-2.

Coming up, Independence will challenge Rocky River at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Butler, they will take on South Mecklenburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Mecklenburg's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
