Baseball Recap: Bonneville Lakers vs. Woods Cross Wildcats

Bonneville extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping their season record down to 7-10 in the process. They came up short against the Woods Cross Wildcats, falling 16-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 on Wednesday.

Bonneville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jet Hirschi, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

As for Woods Cross, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-7. The contest marked their most dominant win of the season.

On Woods Cross' side, Beckham Stanger made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Stanger has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Woods Cross got a massive performance out of Max Moffat, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
