Baseball Recap: Paradise Valley's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Paradise Valley came into Saturday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Northwest Christian Crusaders on Saturday. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 15-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Joey Jankowski was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Tommy Marshall was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.

Paradise Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.

Paradise Valley's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Northwest Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paradise Valley will face off against Sunrise Mountain at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Paradise Valley will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Northwest Christian, they will square off against Kingman at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Kingman will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Northwest Christian surely won't give up without a fight.
