Olathe West waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Owls, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Olathe West got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the second set. The final score came out to 25-15, 29-31, 25-20, 26-24.

Olathe West was led to victory by Grace Yeager and Kaiya Finazzo. Yeager had 11 digs and two aces, while Finazzo had 13 digs and two assists. That's the most digs Yeager has posted over her last six matches.

They weren't the only good servers: Olathe West was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in five consecutive contests.

Olathe West's record now sits at 15-3. As for Gardner-Edgerton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-8 record this season.
