Soccer Game Preview: Sequoyah vs. West Forsyth

The Sequoyah Chiefs will take on the West Forsyth Wolverines at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Sequoyah: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while West Forsyth has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

Sequoyah is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They blew past Woodstock 4-1 on Thursday. The contest was close at halftime, but Sequoyah turned on the heat in the second half with three goals.

They hit Woodstock with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Anastyn Lanphier (2), Kate Courchene, and Ayva Richards.

Meanwhile, West Forsyth kept a clean sheet against Etowah on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for West Forsyth, who have now won nine games by three goals or more so far this season.

West Forsyth's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Sequoyah, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 3-9.
