Lakeside had lost 11 games straight , but after bumping their record up to 2-13 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Struthers Wildcats by a score of 12-9. This was payback for the Dragons, who suffered a 17-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Emily Mohney made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Mohney was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Coming up, Lakeside will head out on the road to take on Geneva at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
