League recap: Lone Grove stuns Purcell in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Purcell, who took down 104th ranked Purcell, 46-23.

Madill extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 4 this week by beating Sulphur, 21-14. The victory was the eighth in a row for the team.

Pauls Valley's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Joe Foster has thrown for 796 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Dewayne Sanders has 15 catches for 269 yards. J.c. Eyabi leads the league in rushing with 339 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Pauls Valley takes on Plainview. As it stands, the Panthers are in third, while the Indians are in second.

There should be lots of points scored when Pauls Valley and Plainview face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, John Inman's team comes in having scored 131 this season, while Chris Berus' team has scored 59. The Panthers scored 57 points last week as they topped Atoka.

The Indians took down Dickson 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
