Basketball Recap: Suffield Academy Victorious

Suffield Academy lost to Ethel Walker back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Suffield Academy Tigers came out on top against Ethel Walker by a score of 55-46.

Ethel Walker lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Liana Salamone, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, Salamone is now averaging an impressive 8.1 boards per game. Taelor Arnold was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Ethel Walker has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Suffield Academy will venture away from home to square off against Berkshire School at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ethel Walker, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 49-45 defeat against Choate Rosemary Hall School on the 25th.
