Football Game Preview: Chester Yellowjackets vs. Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians + How To Watch

Chester has gone a perfect 4-0 against Carlyle recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to face off against the Indians/Lady Indians at 7:00 p.m. Carlyle took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Chester, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Chester made easy work of Wesclin and carried off a 42-20 victory. The win continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Trayton Peters and Tashawn Palacio were among the main playmakers for Chester as the former threw for 203 yards and five TDs while completing 71.4% of his passes and the latter picked up 129 receiving yards and four scores. Thanks to that big game, Peters is now up to 16 passing touchdowns on the season.

Chester didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Derrius Shoemate, Zane Eggemeyer, and Kanon Jany picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, Carlyle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 46-26 to Dupo. On the bright side, the 26- point performance marked the Indians/Lady Indians' highest-scoring contest to date.

Chester's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Carlyle, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Chester against Carlyle in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 41-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Yellowjackets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
