Basketball Game Preview: WF West Bearcats vs. Hockinson Hawks

The WF West Bearcats will challenge the Hockinson Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Friday, WF West was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 47-43 to Black Hills. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Hockinson had to suffer through a 90-57 loss at the hands of Columbia River. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Rapids are ranked 46th).

Hockinson has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for WF West, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
