Baseball Recap: Segerstrom Takes a Loss

Segerstrom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the El Modena Vanguards. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their loss to the Vanguards from their previous meeting back in February of 2023.

Tito Fraser was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 7.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Segerstrom saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isak Landeros, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Segerstrom's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for El Modena, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Segerstrom will head out on the road to take on Calvary Chapel at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for El Modena, they will host Brea Olinda at 3:15 p.m. on the 8th.
