Basketball Recap: Pike County Takes a Loss

Pike County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. The contest between them and the Marion County Eagles didn't end well, with the Pike County Pirates falling 54-39.

Pike County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Marion County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pike County will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Callaway at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Marion County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Columbus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
