Lane Tech had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Jones Eagles 9-8. The victory was nothing new for the Champions as they're now sitting on four straight.

Loss or not, Jones got some senior leadership from Alison Kinnerk and Tory Smith. Kinnerk threw for 272 yards and a touchdown, while Smith picked up 108 receiving yards and a touchdown. Smith's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked her fifth straight game with at least 108 receiving yards.
Lane Tech has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. As for Jones, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-6.
Lane Tech wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 20-6 loss against Guilford on the 18th. Jones does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
