Vallejo came out on top against Kennedy on Wednesday thanks in part to David Bernstine III's efforts. Nobody could stop Bernstine III as he scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. He has become a key player for Vallejo: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-3 otherwise.

Bernstine III's strong effort led Vallejo over Kennedy and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Redhawks are a perfect 8-0 against the Eagles going back to March of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
