Basketball Recap: Hialeah Gardens Skates Past Dr. Krop with Ease

After losing to Dr. Krop the last time they met, Hialeah Gardens decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Hialeah Gardens Gladiators claimed a resounding 64-33 win over the Dr. Krop Lightning. The victory was some much needed relief for the Gladiators as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Leading Hialeah Gardens to victory were Alexander Masis and Eduardo Hernandez. Masis posted 21 points along with five assists and five steals, while Hernandez dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Masis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ray Hernandez Jr, who scored eight points in addition to ten rebounds and six assists.

Hialeah Gardens' win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Dr. Krop, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hialeah Gardens and Goleman will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. As for Dr. Krop, they are taking a road trip to take on American at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
