Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Academy Wins Going Away Against Coconut Creek

Trinity Christian Academy saw some tournament action on Friday. They strolled past the Coconut Creek Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 53-35. The game marked the Warriors' most dominant win of the season so far.

Trinity Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Paul Morency led the charge by going 7 of 10 on his way to 14 points along with seven boards and five steals. Those five steals gave Morency a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian King, who went 7 of 12 en route to 14 points and three blocks.

Trinity Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coconut Creek only posted eight assists.

Despite the loss, Coconut Creek saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jahvon Jasmin posted 13 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tavares Holmes, who had six points.

Trinity Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Coconut Creek, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Trinity Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-50 win against West Boca Raton on the 4th. As for Coconut Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 70-37 defeat against Dillard on the 4th.
