Softball Recap: FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers vs. Altha Wildcats
FAMU DRS was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 18-2 to the Altha Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in February.
FAMU DRS saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaylee Ammons, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-1. Tania Rivas was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
FAMU DRS' record now sits at 2-7. As for Altha, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Looking ahead, FAMU DRS will face off against Franklin County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. FAMU DRS' pitchers better be ready for this one: Franklin County has averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season. As for Altha, they will be playing at home against Rutherford at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Rutherford has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.67 runs per game on average), something Altha will no doubt try to take advantage of.
