North Callaway piles up the points against Silex

Recap: North Callaway Thunderbirds vs. Silex Owls
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Centralia, the North Callaway Thunderbirds were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 78-47 victory over Silex. With that victory, North Callaway brought their scoring average up to 61 points per game.
Sam Pezold went supernova for North Callaway, scoring 27 points along with 6 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Pezold has scored at least 25% of North Callaway's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Brown, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds.
The win got North Callaway back to even at 1-1. As for Silex, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
North Callaway will take on Hallsville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Silex, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Community at 7:30 p.m.
