Basketball Game Preview: Barnegat Bengals vs. Haddonfield Bulldawgs

The Barnegat Bengals will challenge the Haddonfield Bulldawgs on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Barnegat is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 69-32 win over Collingswood. While the Bengals didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Haddonfield got the win against Lower Cape May on Thursday by a conclusive 54-34. Given the Bulldawgs' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Tigers are ranked 314th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Haddonfield and bumps their season record up to 13-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 21 points. As for Barnegat, their record is now 8-3.

Barnegat might still be hurting after the 48-27 defeat they got from Haddonfield in their previous matchup back in March of 2018. Can Barnegat avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
