Basketball Recap: Flathead Starts off Right with Win over Great Falls

Flathead took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). Everything went their way against the Great Falls Bison as the Flathead Braves/Bravettes made off with a 73-49 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Braves/Bravettes as it spelled an end to their 20-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Lyric Ersland was a one-man wrecking crew for Flathead as he went 11 for 18 on his way to 27 points and six rebounds. Korbin Eaton was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 11 points in addition to six boards and five steals.

Flathead wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-42 defeat against Russell on the 14th. As for Great Falls, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Hellgate at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Great Falls will come in still looking for their first win of the season.
