Basketball Recap: Morrice Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three contests, Morrice finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Genesee Christian Soldiers, falling 69-20. The Orioles have struggled against the Soldiers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Morrice's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Genesee Christian, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

Morrice will face off against Ovid-Elsie at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ovid-Elsie's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Morrice's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Genesee Christian, they will challenge Owosso at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Genesee Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Owosso likes a good challenge.
