Whites Creek has gone a perfect 10-0 against Maplewood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cobras will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Maplewood took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Whites Creek, who comes in off a win.

Whites Creek made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Pearl-Cohn, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cobras were the clear victors by a 28-16 margin over the Firebirds on Friday. The Cobras' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Gabrielle Brooks was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Takira Gooch, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

Whites Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Maplewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 27-0 to Hume-Fogg.

Maplewood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Whites Creek, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Whites Creek took their win against Maplewood in their previous meeting back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cobras since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
