Somonauk/Leland entered their tilt with Earlville on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Earlville Red Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 47-29. The Bobcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Red Raiders, too.

Despite the defeat, Earlville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addie Scherer posted nine points and six boards.

Somonauk/Leland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-15 record this season. As for Earlville, their loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 9-19.

Somonauk/Leland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 45-35 defeat against Streator on the 1st. Earlville has also already played their next game, a 61-27 loss against Serena on the 3rd.
