Basketball Game Preview: West Wilkes Blackhawks vs. Elkin Buckin' Elks

West Wilkes and Elkin are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The West Wilkes Blackhawks will host the Elkin Buckin' Elks at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. West Wilkes is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Last Friday, West Wilkes was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 63-62 to East Surry.

Meanwhile, Elkin lost 69-48 to South Stokes on Tuesday. The Buckin' Elks have struggled against the Sauras recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

West Wilkes' defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Elkin, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

West Wilkes took their win against Elkin in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 58-38. Will West Wilkes repeat their success, or does Elkin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
